Toastmasters Kent

John is married and has four children and six grandchildren.

Having left school and college, John spent his main working life as an Estate Agent, eventually becoming Managing Director of a six-branch practice in Kent and Sussex. Having sold out his interest in 1998, he was too young to do nothing, and when he saw an advertisement for part time marriage registrars, applied and was appointed.

In addition to this he subsequently trained as a professional Toastmaster and Master of Ceremonies. As he didn’t just want to do weddings, he underwent further training to undertake City and Livery events, Masonic and Corporate events and joined The Institute of Toastmasters of Great Britain and The Association of the UK School of Professional Toastmasters, eventually being honoured to become President of both those Associations.

He has always had a great interest in working within the City of London and is a Beadle/Toastmaster to four Livery Companies in the City, working at such prestigious venues as The Mansion House, The Guildhall, Middle Temple Hall and most of the great Livery halls in the City of London.

He is happy to undertake functions both at home and abroad, and the furthest he has been is to Palm Beach Florida for a corporate event.
